Harold L. Queen’s champion sprinter Big Drama will be scratched from Saturday’s Grade 1, $350,000 Vosburgh Invitational at Belmont Park after developing a fever, trainer David Fawkes said Friday afternoon.

“He spiked a temperature this morning,” said Fawkes of the 5-year-old son of Montbrook, who was listed as the 2-1 second choice on the morning line for the six-furlong Vosburgh. “It’s really nothing that bad, just unfortunate.”

According to Fawkes, Big Drama will now likely be trained up to the November 5 Breeders’ Cup Sprint at Churchill Downs, a race he won last year.
