in the winner's circle. Martin Pedroza, who had been winless through the first nine
races, won the finale aboard first-time starter Romance Writer in
wire-to-wire fashion for a $7.40 payoff that gave the 44-year-old
Panamanian rider his 45th winner of the meet.
