Fairplex: Reyes gaining on Pedroza

Christian Santiago-Reyes rode four winners Wednesday at Fairplex Park, including odds-on Carbonite in the $50,000 Governor’s Cup Handicap, as the jockey race gets interesting at the Los Angeles County Fair.

Martin Pedroza rode a winner to remain atop the standings; the four-bagger by Santiago-Reyes narrowed Pedroza’s advantage to 22-17. The 13-day meet concludes Sunday.
