It's been a long and storied career for Einstein and his trainer Helen Pitts-Blasi. The long road which featured victories on all surfaces from coast-to-coast comes to an end when on Friday he takes on a full field for the Clark Handicap at Churchill Downs. Read More

What the Nation is saying about Einstein outside for Clark send-off...

Maybe after drawing the 14-hole... yuck... they decided to pencil in one more. Always feels good to hit your last shot before calling it a day!
I'm reading that he's been supplemented to a race in Hong Kong in December, so he might have one more race in him before he's done.
The 14 post is really rough going 1 1/8 miles at CD... we will really see what he's made of. What an awesome horse. Had a really tough trip in the Classic which set up for the closers. He was a pressing fourth early, and of the 1-2-3-4-5 early runners, four of them finished 8-10-11-12. Only Colonel John, who was hugging the rail in third early... managed to hang in there to finish 5th.
Here's to hoping he goes out a winner. He's been a career horse for Helen. Too bad he drew outside, and too bad he simply threw a clunker in the Classic...
