Grade 1 Flower Bowl Invitational hopeful Red Desire
pleased her connections with an easy 1:04.97 five-furlong breeze yesterday in
her first official workout in the United States.
“She went very easily and is a happy horse right now,” said
Nobutaka Tada, racing manager for Tokyo Horseracing Co. Ltd. “Regarding her
demeanor, she is a calm and quiet filly with great character, and listens to
people.”
A Group 1 winner in her native Japan, Red Desire is using the
Flower Bowl as a springboard to the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf on
November 5.
