Dubai Majesty Upsets Informed Decision

Dubai Majesty, who narrowly lost to Informed Decision last out, turned the tables on the champion Oct. 9 at Keeneland, notching the biggest win of her career in the $200,000 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes (gr. II).

The 5-year-old mare earned a berth in next month’s Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (gr. I) at Churchill Downs for trainer Bret Calhoun and owners Martin Racing Stable and Dan Morgan. The daughter of Essence of Dubai scored her third graded stakes victory in the six-furlong TCA, covering the distance on Polytrack in 1:09.81 under Jamie Theriot.
Last out in the Sept. 11 Presque Isle Downs Masters (gr. III), Dubai Majesty fell a head short of Informed Decision when rallying from well off the pace. This time, she was kept closer to the lead, which was set by 69-1 longshot Old Time Religion. The opening splits were :22.47 and :45.65.
