Drosselmeyer Might Return in 2012

WinStar Farm said Wednesday evening that a decision regarding whether Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Drosselmeyer will stand at stud or continue racing in 2012 will be made “sometime next week.”


WinStar initially announced in late October that Drosselmeyer would retire after the Classic to stand at Keane Stud in Amenia, N.Y., but, according to a WinStar press release, a clause in the contract regarding his stud career called for flexibility in case Drosselmeyer won the BC Classic, which he did Saturday at Churchill Downs.

I would enjoy seeing him run again!
YAH!!!!!! I would love love love to see him keep racing. Keep Mike Smith on him and watch out, older handicap division!!! I love Drosselmeyer and I really want him to get a chance to prove that he is not a fluke or slow, as some people have suggested.
