Ugh... nothing makes sense with any of those decisions. If they were smart, it'd be open to every single horse nominated for the race... a true future book!
Does someone want to explain to me how Drosselmeyer and Stay Put get left off of this wager? And why not put on a popular horse like Lentenor? The wager is all about fun and the excitement of getting horses early. People see horses that have hype or run well and they want to bet them. Adding Radiohead, Connemara and Odysseus off their wins makes sense. Not sure what the point is to add Setsuko and Nextdoorneighbor. I think the guys that pick the runners were embarrassed when Caracortado won last time and they don't want it to happen again, but what happens when Kettle River wins the Sham?
