The Del Mar main track has been closed for training on Thursday morning, a day after the track’s opening card.
Several horsemen said the synthetic Polytrack main track has been
unavailable since early in the morning because of unsafe conditions.
Del Mar officials were not immediately available for comment. The
training track is open.
“I don’t know what’s going on, but it’s been closed all morning,”
trainer Julio Canani said. “All morning it’s going to be closed.”
