Nominations close next Friday (June 3) for Del Mar’s two premier
stakes for 2-year-olds – the Grade I Del Mar Debutante for fillies and
the Grade I Del Mar Futurity for all juveniles. The championship events
will be renewed this season on Saturday, September 3 (Debutante) and
Wednesday, September 7 (Futurity).
The nomination fee for each race is $250 with no sustaining payments
required. Both are run at seven furlongs and both carry guaranteed
purses of $250,000.
Nomination forms for the juvenile features can be downloaded on line at the "Horsemen" section of the Del Mar website at www.dmtc.com/horsemen/nomforms.php.

Last year Ike and Dawn Thrash’s Tell a Kelly won the Debutante and Gem Stable’s J P’s Gusto won the Futurity.
Del Mar’s 37-day season opens on Wednesday, July 20 and runs until
Wednesday, September 7. With the exception of Labor Day Monday
(September 5), racing will be conducted on a Wednesday through Sunday
basis.
FULL-SEASON DISCOUNT PASSES OFFER EXCELLENT VALUE
Del Mar once again is offering high-value, full-season passes to its
37-day meeting at a greatly reduced price that makes any fan an instant
winner.
The passes are selling for only $25 for Stretch Run admission and $50
on the Clubhouse side, good for all afternoon from the Wednesday, July
20 opening to the Wednesday, September 7 close.
Normal Stretch Run admission is $6 per day, while Clubhouse prices are $10.
