Dayatthespa Live in Juvenile Fillies Turf

Chad Brown has a bit of a history with the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (gr. IIT), which means don’t count him out this year with Dayatthespa. She may have only two starts and is listed at 12-1 on the morning line in the full field of 14, but Dayatthespa is in the hands of a trainer who knows how to win this race.

Last year, Brown put the foundation on winner More Than Real before she was sold to Bobby Flay and won the race for trainer Todd Pletcher. And while Brown didn’t have a runner in 2009, he nearly got there with Zodiac Girl, but she hurt herself and didn’t make the race.

Dayatthespa, a New York-bred daughter of City Zip  —M’Lady Doc, by Doc’s Leader, caught Brown’s eye at this year’s Ocala Breeders’ Sales March select sale of 2-year-olds.
