CashCall
and Santa Anita Park give fans a shot at daily redemption by offering $1,000
for a randomly selected losing ticket each racing day during the upcoming
24-day Autumn Meet.
“We’re
thrilled to be able to offer our fans this unique opportunity throughout our
meet,” said Santa Anita CEO Mark Verge.
Instead
of tossing losing tickets in the trash, fans can write their info on the back
of each losing ticket and deposit it in a bin at the Winners’ Circle. At the
end of each day, one ticket will be drawn for a $1,000 win bet on any horse the
following day.

J. Paul Reddam hit the jackpot this year with Santa Anita Derby and Kentucky
Derby winner I’ll Have Another. Reddam and his wife Zillah owned I’ll Have
Another, the odds-on favorite to become the first horse since Affirmed in 1978
to win the Triple Crown, before an injury sidelined him less than 48 hours
before the final leg of the series, the Belmont Stakes, last June.
“This
unique promotion will be even more exciting when some of those $1,000 bets win!
Those will be huge paydays for some lucky racing fans,” said Reddam.
Opening
Day at Santa Anita is Friday, September 28th, with first post time
