Turns out that Smart Strike colts CAN win big races on synthetics and dirt, ala LOOKIN AT LUCKY in last Saturday's G2 Rebel at Oaklawn. Guess that blows a hole in the argument that the carpet single-handedly beat Curlin in the 2008 Breeders' Cup. You might recall, Curlin also was sired by Smart Strike.
