Last August, Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey watched with satisfaction as a 2-year-old chestnut daughter of El Prado named Consequence made an inside move to win her debut by three lengths at Saratoga Race Course.

Just under a year later, McGaughey is back at the Spa with Phipps Stable's Consequence and July 31, he is hoping she will earn her first graded stakes victory as she faces eight other 3-year-old fillies in the grade II, $150,000 Lake George Stakes at 1 1/16 mile on the turf.
