The Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN) announced Wednesday,
it will broadcast live from Tampa Bay Downs this Saturday with exclusive radio
coverage of the Grade 3 Tampa Bay Derby and Grade 3 Florida Oaks. HRRN’s
coverage will also include the 2010 debuts of Horse of the Year Rachel
Alexandra in the New Orleans Ladies from the Fair Grounds, and Champion
Zenyatta in the Grade 1 Santa Margarita at Santa Anita.
HRRN’s coverage can be heard from 4:30-7:00 ET. Fans
can tune-in on various HRRN affiliates, including CBS Radio 1010 AM in Tampa. The
broadcast will also be streamed live on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.
Mike Penna will anchor the coverage, along with analysts
Jude Feld, and Rolly Hoyt.
In addition to the race coverage, Penna, Feld, and Hoyt will
also host a special edition of HRRN’s popular morning talk show, the Equine Forum,
live from Tampa Bay Downs on Saturday morning. The Equine Forum airs from
8-10 a.m. ET and can be heard on WLXO 96.1 FM in Lexington, KY,
as well as worldwide with free live streaming at www.horseracingradio.net.
