Buddy's Saint, D'Funnybone work in Florida

Kingfield Stable’s Buddy’s Saint and Paul Pompa, Jr.’s D’Funnybone posted workouts at Gulfstream Park Sunday morning as the two high-profile 3-year-olds continue preparation for their highly-anticipated season debuts in the $250,000 Fasig-Tipton Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2) and $150,000 Hutcheson Stakes (G2), respectively. Both races will be run here on Sat., Feb. 20.

Buddy’s Saint was timed five furlongs in 59 3/5 as the son of Saint Liam picks up the tempo for trainer Bruce Levine ahead of his return in the Fountain of Youth. D’Funnybone went the same distance in 1:01 4/5 for trainer Rick Dutrow pointing toward the seven-furlong Hutcheson.
