Jockey Shaun Bridgmohan underwent surgery Wednesday morning to repair
a collarbone fractured in a one-horse spill Saturday at Kentucky Downs.
Carroll, the Louisville-based trainer of the horse who fell with
Bridgmohan in Saturday’s $150,000 Kentucky Cup Turf said he visited the
jockey Tuesday and heard Wednesday morning from Bridgmohan’s family that
the surgery went well.
Carroll said Bridgmohan was scheduled to have a pin and a plate inserted to stabilize the fracture.
