Brass Hat readies for Cornhusker

Grade 1 hero BRASS HAT (Prized) punched his ticket to next Saturday's $300,000 Prairie Meadows Cornhusker H. (G2) by working a bullet five furlongs in :59 1/5 over the fast main track at Churchill Downs on Friday morning under jockey Calvin Borel.


Brass Hat worked at 6:30 a.m. (EDT) and his time was the fastest of 30 at the distance. Churchill Downs clockers had Brass Hat galloping out six furlongs in 1:13.
