Boisterous in Training at Keeneland

Phipps Stable’s Grade 1 winner and millionaire Boisterous, who is cataloged to the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale as a racing or stallion prospect, has arrived at Keeneland and remains in training. The 6-year-old son of Distorted Humor is here with trainer Shug McGaughey’s assistant Robbie Medina.

Boisterous, who is hip No. 197 in the November Sale, is scheduled to sell on opening day of the sale, which runs Nov. 5-14.

In four campaigns, Boisterous has won 11 races in 28 starts and earned $1,325,959. In consecutive turf races this summer, he won the Monmouth (G2) at Monmouth Park and the Man o’ War (G1) at Belmont Park. Boisterous has eight career stakes victories on turf.

Bred by Cynthia Phipps, Boisterous is out of the stakes-winning Cox’s Ridge mare Emanating, a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Gold Fever.
