Bodemeister should take the Holy Bull route

Bodemeister wins maiden
Dear Bob Baffert,

Have you heard the story about the trainer and his losing favorite in the Kentucky Derby? No, we're not talking about 2001 and your colt, Point Given.

Rather, this was a speedster that dominated his final Kentucky Derby prep race three weeks before the big event. He had shown incomparable brilliance going one and one-eighth miles. The betting public responded and wagered gobs of cash on his chances.

Unfortunately, he lost and even the talents of Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith couldn't get him home first.

Not sure if Baffert will opt for this, but I do agree that the colt deserves a break.
3 G1's in 5 weeks? When he finishes his career like Holy Bull don't come crying to me.
I think he should go in the Preakness, he is peaking now and has a great shot to win a Classic race. The Met Mile will be very tough, maybe tougher than the Preakness, with Caleb's Posse, To Honor and Serve and maybe Shackleford. The 3 year old year is unique in horse racing and all horses have only one chance to win a Triple Crown race. Bodemeisters best chance is in the Preakness.
I couldnt agree more, give Bode a break....he has nothing to prove, he didnt win the Derby there are bigger fish to fry...find 2 races from now until the Breeders Cup Classic
This article offers a keen perspective, but going in a G1 against the top older horses in the country at the distance is no less of a task than 1 3/16 two weeks after the derby.
Let's hope he does not end the same way.
