Blame, who defeated Zenyatta in the Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I) Nov. 6, will stand for $35,000 at Claiborne Farm next year. The 4-year-old son of Arch won four graded stakes this year, three of them grade Is—the Classic, the Whitney Handicap, and the Stephen Foster Handicap.
“We have always tried to help breeders in the marketplace,” said Claiborne bloodstock manager Bernie Sams. “We are committed to setting reasonable stud fees and to capping the number of mares bred.”
