Blame Arrives At Claiborne Farm

Shortly after 9 a.m. Nov. 12 on a sun-filled Kentucky morning, Blame returned home to his birthplace at Claiborne Farm near Paris to start his second career as a stallion.

Riding with the Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I) winner on the trailer trip from Keeneland was his co-owner and co-breeder, Adele Dilschneider. Al Stall Jr., the colt’s trainer, flew up from Fair Grounds in New Orleans to be on hand as Blame walked a short way up a path to his new home. While two-dozen farm employees looked on, Blame was led into the first stall in the stallion barn closest to Claiborne’s main office.  His name was already on the shiny nameplate next to the stall door.

you could say the same thing when Damascus, Tom Rolfe, Riva, Bucpasser, Drone, Nashrullah, Princequillo etc arrived there not to mention Easy Goer, Spectacular Bid, Bodl Ruler etc. That is what Claiborne is all about QUALITY breeding stock. always has been and this one is partially owned by Seth Hancock.
To Trueturf: I am not a casual fan. I have an extensive knowledge of handicapping, horseracing history and horse health. Did you know that there is a horse who won 18 consecutive open races in 4 months? Did you know that there is a mare who raced and won 54 races? Did you know that all G1 races are not equal? It is sad that you know only what you see and ignore the past performances in making your puerile judgements.
No one races a multi-million dollar animal for sport -- there is always the risk of another Ruffian. It doesn't matter what you want since you have no ownership of either animal and who wins or loses doesn't put any $$$$ in your pocket (except for your bets). How dumb is that for you to get so adamant abot this whole issue since it costs you frustration and $$$? I love both Z and Blame and the fact is that Blame won the BC Classic. If you look at world rankings, both Blame and Quality Road rank above Z, but that doesn't mean I like her any less than I did before the Classic. I do care about Blame and wish him success in his stallion career.
not what is reality.
You took the time out to write this ridiculously long, rambling, incoherent post. You asked who cares about Blame? Obviously you do.
