Black Caviar Extends Winning Streak

THE superlative Black Caviar (Peter Moody/Luke Nolen) matched the legendary PharLap on Saturday when she extended her unbeaten winning streak to 14 on her seasonal debut at Caulfield in Melbourne.

Now a five-year-old, the mare known as 'Miss Invincible' never looked in any semblance of danger in the Group 2 Schillaci Stakes.

Sent off a 1-14 shot on her first outing since May, Black Caviar raced in fourth place about four lengths off the speedy Karuta Queen before easily making up the ground to move upsides as they turned for home and then sauntering clear to win as she liked. The official margin was 4¼ lengths.
