Big Drama Rolls in Smile Sprint

Favored Big Drama dominated the $350,000 Smile Sprint Handicap (gr. II) to cap a grand day for owner/breeder Harold L. Queen on Summit of Speed day at Calder Casino & Race Course July 10.

The 4-year-old Big Drama's half brother, Little Drama, won the $100,000 Frank Gomez Memorial Stakes for 2-year-olds a couple of races earlier on the program for Queen. The winners are out of the Notebook mare Riveting Drama. Trainer David Fawkes teamed with jockey Eibar Coa for both victories.
