A Bernstein colt sold for $300,000 to top the first session of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co.’s June sale of 2-year-olds in training and horses of racing age. Consigned by Robert Brewer, the colt, out of Within, by Rahy, was bought by Patrice Miller EQB. He breezed an eighth of a mile in :10 flat, co-fastest work at the distance at last Saturday’s under tack session.
For the Tuesday session, 159 horses sold for a total of $3,484,000. The average was $21,912 with a $10,000 median price. The buyback percentage was 34.3%.
