Hall of Fame trainer
Bob Baffert will seek his second consecutive win
in the $100,000 Real Quiet Stakes when he saddles
Carving Saturday at
Betfair Hollywood Park.
Restricted to 2-year-olds at 1 1/16 miles over Cushion Track, the
Real Quiet is a prep for the $750,000 guaranteed, Grade I CashCall
Futurity, which will be run Saturday, Dec. 15. Named in honor of the
1998 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner and 1999 Hollywood Gold Cup
champion, the Real Quiet is the third of nine races Saturday. Post time
is 12:30 p.m. Track gates will open at 10 a.m.
The Pick Six pool will also be guaranteed at $150,000. This will
hold true each Saturday throughout the Autumm meet, which wraps Dec. 16.
Should the pool reach $200,000, food and drink Happy Hour specials will
be available at Whittingham’s Pub.
Additionally, a single winning Pick Six ticket –purchased either at Betfair Hollywood Park or through Television Games Network (TVG) – will earn a bonus – a 2013 Toyota Prius- courtesy of South Bay Toyota.

at Santa Anita.

purchased for $55,000 earlier this year, finished fourth, 10 ½ lengths
behind stablemate Power Broker.
Baffert, who won the Real Quiet last year with eventual CashCall
Futurity winner Liaison, is trying to become the first trainer to take

The one-mile Palmer was Fury Kapcori’s initial try around two turns
for Hollendorfer, who won the 2008 Real Quiet with Chocolate Candy. The
bay has earned $61,000.
Trained by Troy Taylor for Mark DeDomenico LLC
and North American Thoroughbred Racing, Glenco Kid easily captured the
Ascot Grad in the slop at Hastings Park in Vancouver Oct. 14.
