Baffert Might Attend Dubai World Cup

TRAINER Bob Baffert is "in high spirits" in hospital after emergency heart surgery on Monday, according to the owner of his Dubai World Cup contender Game On Dude.

Baffert, 59, suffered a heart attack early on Monday but is already planning to be at Meydan on Saturday night to watch the World Cup.

"I just spoke to him and he's training from the bed," owner Bernie Schiappa said on Tuesday morning. "I'd say the probability is very good that he will be here on Saturday.

"He would come here now if he could and he says he'll have a doctor with him to watch the race in case it gets too much - but that's Bob's humour."

AnnaK: Don't get me wrong,i hope all the USA horse win..I was been a smart-ass..saying what if Chantel won the big race on Game on Dude..How would they react? first ever lady jockey in the Dubai Cup.I hope you cash, and enjoy a long great day of racing..Fri,Sat,Sun..
& if Mott thinks she stands a chance, then win or lose makes it more interesting. And a filly is going to win one of these days, and Mott's sportsmanship is pretty admirable.
You never know wantwoman, been reading my racing Diva book, some of those fillies are pretty killer, and if Mott thinks she good
There really high on Royal Delta, they think there going to win..W.Mott..It's must be crazy over there thinking a lady ..could win the Cup!! Chantel..
Bob, you gotta stop eating so many of those Hardees ham and egg biscuits on the fly on the way to your stable every morning!! LOL. But in all seriousness, I truly wish Bob Baffert nothing but the best for a speedy recovery from the unfortunate heart attack that befell him in Dubai. He's a terrific guy, and a first class trainer!! One of, if not the best active trainer still training in America to date, IMO. Hope he at least gets to be a spectator on Saturday night to see The Factor run in the G1 Golden Shaheen and Game On Dude run in the G1 Dubai World Cup. Best wishes and get well soon, Bob!!!
Game On Dude has the right style to win that. SYT if in form can sit right off the pace and see if he can catch him. Things work in strange ways in this world so it woudn't surprise me to see GOD win.
