“She thinks she won,” Bob Baffert said Friday morning of 2012 Debutante winner Executiveprivilege’s comeback race from a seven-month layoff – the featured $85,000 seventh race on Thursday’s card.

Actually, Reneesgotzip was a 5 ¼-length winner, dealing Executiveprivilege a third straight loss after five wins a row to open her career.

“It was a very good first out off the layoff,” Baffert said. “She picked up where she left off. But that was a very tough field. I would have liked to have had something a little easier.”

Reneesgotzip, also making a first start since December, won for the sixth time in 11 starts. Trainer Miller said the next race for the daughter of City Zip would be the $150,000 Rancho Bernardo on Sunday, August 18.
