Awesome Act blows out for Wood Memorial

Gotham S. (G3) hero AWESOME ACT (Awesome Again) blew out a quarter-mile at Belmont Park on Thursday, putting the final touches on his preparations for Saturday's Wood Memorial (G1) at Aqueduct. Although the move was not reported on the official worktab, trainer Jeremy Noseda commented about it on his website, jeremynoseda.com. Read More

A virtual toss up between the top two but they will be coming late and often that track plays to earlier speed which could favor the Schoolyard type.
i think awesome act gonna win this race...
This horse handled the dirt at Aqueduct quite impressively, IMO, in the 2010 Gotham Stakes. Saturday will see a step up in competition for Awesome Act with Eskendereya coming to town. I'm very anxious to see how Eskendereya run's in the Wood Memorial, and if Awesome Act is able to compete as well in the Wood Memorial as he did in the Gotham Stakes with the rise in competition. If both run the kind of race that they're capable of running, it should make for a very interesting 2010 Wood Memorial. IMO.
