Awesome Act, who could only finish a disappointing 19th of 20
runners in the Kentucky Derby last weekend, sustained an injury during
the race, according to trainer Jeremy Noseda.
The colt, who is set to stay in the US with trainer Steve Asmussen, had been fancied to go well in the contest won by Super Saver,
but was never a factor, beaten by 61 lengths with connections surmising
that the sloppy track at Churchill Downs could have affected the
three-year-old.
