Ask the Moon Returns to Monmouth

Newly minted Grade 1 winner Ask the Moon came out of her victory in Sunday’s Grade 1 Ruffian Invitational Handicap in good order, said trainer Marty Wolfson, and has returned to Monmouth Park as her connections ponder her next start.

“I am not sure; perhaps the Personal Ensign,” said Wolfson, who won the Grade 1 race, set for August 28 this year, in 2009 with Icon Project. “She came out of the race well, really well.”

The Ruffian victory was the first for the 6-year-old Malibu Moon mare since taking an optional claimer at the Meadowlands on October 16, 2009. Overall, she is now 9-5-7 from 31 starts.
