Animal Kingdom to Work at Keeneland

Animal Kingdom wins on the Gulfstream Turf

Team Valor International’s Animal Kingdom, the 2011 Kentucky Derby (G1) winner, remains on track to have his final workout for the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) at Keeneland, according to trainer Graham Motion.

“The plan right now is to work here one time, probably the last weekend of the meet and then go on out to California,” Motion said Thursday morning of Animal Kingdom, who worked six furlongs on the grass in 1:18 on Wednesday at the Fair Hill (Md.) Training Center.

The Breeders’ Cup Mile, scheduled for November 3 at Santa Anita, would be the first start for Animal Kingdom since a February victory at Gulfstream Park. What the Nation is saying about Animal Kingdom to Work at Keeneland...

I hold Motion in pretty high self esteem. He does a good job with his horses. Definitely putting a bet on AK
I agree with this.. Why put him in here if they dont believe he can win? I will be including him for sure.
Graham Motion and Barry Irwin take their jobs seriously. This entry is no whim. Look for AK to make a good showing.
