$430,875 Santa Anita Pick 6 Carryover Tickets – Jan. 26

Saturday’s Santa Anita Park Recap – Jan. 25

The fast main track seemed to play fair. Stalk and pounce types captured all three turf routes, and the lone downhill turf sprint was dominated by early types. The turf rail was down.

Kent Desormeaux booted home two turf stakes winners. Welcome back, Kent D! Victor Espinoza and Joe Talamo guided home two winners as well. Peter Miller saddled two winners on Cal Cup Day.

Using the Primary-Secondary strategy on Saturday, I tabbed two Primary winners (Sea John’s Spirit, California Chrome) and three Secondary winners (Ciao Bella Luna, Big Macher, Weewinnin). Double carryover into Sunday!

one of several babies could win here just as soon as the 1 3 9
1/3,5,6,9. All of those have chance but I think #1 is too classy here.

Do like the Santa Anita dirt, though.
I probably just don't know enough about it because I hardly wager on it.
They're usually coming home like rockets. You usually see the quirks where the dirt meets the turf running for home. It also may not have been her dropping back as much as the field moving earlier than her. It's a very unique circuit, that's for sure.
Definitely. Hope Gob and Jimmy saw it. She's got a future. Of course, my pick was Smith and Stevens won. Those two are doing great right now. Odd. 11 looked good, but faded. My other choice, 7, dropped back like he was fading and then rocketed. Is this normal? I don't watch much Santa Anita turf so perhaps I don't know the quirks.
Diversy Harbor. I know you're a Curlin fan. Didn't know if you were watching SA
Are you talking about Diversy Harbor? She just ran. Looked good, too. I watched the race. I was pulling for your horses so you can make the P6.
Are you talking about yesterday's r7?
Sully, I hope you pull 5 of 6 off. I always pay attention to your P4 (or P6) plays. I'll watch the r7 replay, thanks for the heads up.
I'm still alive to 5 of 6. You gotta watch the race replay for race 7, rafi. Curlin filly was very impressive first out.
Love this format, I've been using it ever since I started reading Jarrod's blog.

R5 primaries 1,5,9 secondary 2
Figured I was wasting money by using a secondary in that race, but better safe than sorry.
