#10 -  Intense Holiday


It could be debated that Intense Holiday’s victory in the Risen Star was due to lighter competition than what he faced in Florida, or the Fair Grounds strip being kinder to late runners. Either way, no one can argue that Intense Holiday is getting better as the distances get longer. Though he appears a cut below the top contenders, Intense Holiday is currently 2nd in Kentucky Derby points and the 1 ¼ distance could be exactly what he needs to bridge the gap to those at the top of the list.

I think the distance and depth of competition is going to catch up with the NY & CA breds.
Interesting that you have none of the well liked California or New York-breds on your list.
