I have a bit of catching up to do since my last 2011 Kentucky Derby Oaks was posted on Feb 16.
The Rachel Alexandra Stakes was run on Feb 19 and featured two of my
top ten players, Kathmanblu and Gran Lioness, and the former did not
disappoint as the heavy favorite.
Kathmanblu did not dominate at Fair Grounds but she
did enough to get the job done. Her turf numbers are stronger so she
could be better on that footing but she has won three straight including
two graded dirt events. We know she likes the Churchill oval so that is
a plus....
