The performance of the week was turned in by
Joyful Victory in
Oaklawn’s Honeybee. I have always been fond of her and she did not
disappoint with a facile off the pace triumph on Saturday. She was
making her first start for her new conditioner Larry Jones and winning
pilot Mike Smith was pleased with her performance. Her visually
impressive effort netted a less than stellar 82 BSF but she has only
raced four times and has plenty of upside.
