Sunday’s Santa Anita Park Recap – Feb. 23

The fast main track seemed to play fair (2 wire jobs – 6f, 8f). The 8f turf route was nabbed by a patient type in a compact field, and the two downhill sprints yielded a wire job and a stalk and pounce winner (turf rail at 8 feet).

Drayden VanDyke and Joe Talamo both booted home a pair. John Sadler saddled the late double.

Using the Budget Ticket-Big Ticket strategy on Sunday, I tabbed one Budget Ticket winner (Presiding Justice) and two Big Ticket winners (Presiding Justice, Indygo Andy). Not a handicapping clinic to say the least. I guess I bounced after nailing the Pick 6 on Saturday. Carryover into Thursday!
