Thursday’s card at Belmont
Park will include a Pick
6 carryover of $131,171, with the $85,000 Diablo overnight stakes serving as
the sequence’s fifth leg.
The six-furlong Diablo drew graded stakes winners Travelin Man and Jersey Town,
the top two finishers in the Sir Shackleton Stakes on March 31 at Gulfstream Park. Travelin Man seeks his third straight
victory, having also taken a Gulfstream optional claimer in February, while Jersey Town
looks to return to the win column for the first time since his upset score in
2010’s Grade 1 Cigar Mile Handicap.
Also included among the Diablo’s seven entrants are This Ones for
Phil, runner up in the Grade 2 General George in February at Laurel Park, and
Flat Bold, who took the Time Tested overnight stakes on March 18 at Aqueduct
Racetrack.
The Pick 6, which spans the final six races on the card, begins with
race 4. Post time for the fourth race is 2:26 p.m.
Those who wish to play the Pick 6 can place their bets at Belmont or Aqueduct, or through NYRA Rewards, which offers Internet, On-Track, Phone, and Mobile wagering.
