11 Lessons from Kentucky Derby Weekend

Kentucky Derby weekend is one of the best betting opportunities of the year.  Two days of stakes filled programs bringing together large fields of highly competitive horses provides ample opportunity for horseplayers to make a season’s worth of profits in a matter of minutes.  Likewise a season’s worth of handicapping and betting lessons can be learned over the course of the two days.  While many will focus on the large payoffs and turn their attention to the second leg of the Triple Crown, the Preakness, I want to share eleven of the valuable lessons I learned this past weekend.
