Sunday’s Santa Anita Park Recap  – Jan 20

Fast main track seemed to play fair. The lone downhill sprint was nabbed in wire job fashion and the three turf routes were captured by sustained runners (rail at 8 feet).

Rafael Bejarano (turf) and Garrett Gomez both booted home a pair.

On the ticket front I tabbed two Primary (Ivanho, More Chocolate) winners and one Secondary (Going for a Spin) winner. Carryover into Monday!

Baze flapping his rein at her because he lost his whip, is that a usual Plan B?. Then she gave him the toss for the 2nd time Baze said. More emphatic than the whipping tail.
I am sure Renee's Titan eliminated many Pick 6 tickets. A couple races to go and a double carryover is possible if there are more surprises.

Wow, upset ! What will the payouts be?
There is plenty of pace in the paper race and I wanted to try to beat Beholder but I could not come up with a quality sustained runner.
Possible single, Beholder. Ya think? Of course I'm not going against this sprinter in a sprint.
You cannot compare and bias or implied bias on surfaces as divergent in mechanics as turf and dirt
