  • Eventer1999 · That doesn't mean we can't like her or think she's a nice filly. · 23 days ago

Well to tom Wenzel and the owners of stopshoppindebbie. I've been on a crusade to get her tge recognition she deserves. I've emailed everyone I can think of. If she's gets recognized and goes to the bc. Have the owners give me a shout out lol. I believe in ya Debbie. Loved ur mom and ur dad
According to the post race interview with trainer Tom Wenzel after Stopshoppingdebbie succeeded at pushing her steak to 8 for 8, Debbie's next start will be the $65,000 Emerald Distaff going 1 1/8 miles on Sunday, August 24.

  • ekindy · I wouldn't disrespect a filly over something she has no control over. This is a quality filly by anybody's (reasonable) standards, it's just that we won't know HOW good she is until she faces stiffer competition. · 23 days ago
Debbie looked great yesterday, and I was thinking if the plain is to go to the BC Distaff, I would think they would want to ship her to SA early so they could get a race in over the SA track ?
How on earth is this filly so lightly weighted for today's race. She has beaten every filly in this four horse field more than once, yet gets in with 123 lbs. and only conceding up to 5 lbs.

  • Exterminator · Sorry my math was a bit off. She only gives 7 lbs. at the most. · 25 days ago
  • amino998 · The good people @ Northwest Farms LLC are nice enough to keep this Emerald box office star running for $50K pots, why ruin it with a true handicap impost on her. Don’t want to chase her out of town. · 25 days ago
Good race Debbie, and very good time also and thats what I'm really looking at. People could say shes beating the same old horses but it's the time that counts. Good win girl. jlp

  • Eventer1999 · There's always a chance of that happening. The track at Emerald was very quick today. But so was Debbie. · 25 days ago
  • jay.harrison.52035772 · I would absolutely love to watch her be competitive against the top older filly and mares. She certainly has run some wicked times at Emerald. · 25 days ago
This filly is so wonderfully consistent. For a moment I thought she might lose, but Stopshoppingdebbie came back to win nicely.
Debbie won again. Final 1/8 in :11 4/5

  • tmallios · LOL Sullivan, now i see the reason. I loked her up and she is a local wonder in a non descript track. · 28 days ago
  • Exterminator · But a fun filly to watch. · 28 days ago
Debbie stays local for another month - entered in the Boeing Handicap this weekend at Emerald against "older mares", all being 4yos.

  • goblin · You have speculated on how the owners should spend their money; I called that intrusive. Any talk of the BC Distaff was taken directly from connections' quotes in a Washington state newspaper article linked here on 'Debbie's page weeks ago. I've no idea where you are coming up with the words "obstructive" or "obtrusive". I would call your opinions negative; I'm taking nothing personally, just decided to finally say so. · 29 days ago
  • ekindy · If I had approached or mailed the owners my opinion, I would call it intrusive. If I post an opinion on an open forum, I call it speculation. Perhaps we can also call it pointless speculation because my opinion has no bearing on what will happen, but again that what we do on open forums. · 29 days ago
Debbie won again, 7 for 7. Broke her own tract record. jlp

  • EP Taylor · What was wrong with Peppers Pride?. she was a New Mex bred who ran locally. The ownership never claimed her to be a world beater, just a real nice local horse. · 38 days ago
  • EP Taylor · Noosa beach wasn't a world beater out west, but he was a beloved local. · 38 days ago
CONGRATS TO STOPSHOPPINDEBIE SHE WINS THE THE WASHINGTON STATE LEGISLATORS HANDICAP INCREASES HER UNDEFEATED TO 7 WINS MOST BY A NORTH AMERICAN HORSE
Almost time for her shot at being 7 for 7!

  • goblin · Sullivan, No word on her running outside Emerald, but the news is that she may run against males in the Longacres Mile in August. Her jockey, Rocco Bowen, declared that she has the heart of a champion, heart of a lion, and heart of a colt. (It's all on the Emerald Downs site.) (I couldn't possibly have made that up!) ;) · 52 days ago
  • travel_vic · Rocco is a nice fellow as the rode at Hastings a few years then went to Assiniboia for awhile. TINY guy so weight must never be a problem. · 52 days ago
Is now 7 for 7!
Good luck Debbie ! jlp
All set to go 7 for 7 on June 8th in the WA State Legislature Handicap at Emerald Downs.
Would have been neat to see this nice talent's connections ship in for the Ogen Phipps. Hope to see her in the Distaff at SA in November.
Her 2014 debut was a good one!

  • Floridaf · Thanks for the link to the article, goblin! Happy to hear that they'll take a shot if she continues to perform as she has been doing. · 80 days ago
  • ekindy · It's nice to see she's earned herself another 3 months of upkeep, but why haven't they challenged her yet? · 80 days ago
Someone needs to bump this girl up to SIX wins on the undefeated list!
