Many were not around for the last Triple Crown winner, or did not follow the sport as recently as 2008. For them, I'll Have Another represents their first Triple Crown experience.Read More

  • LongLiveBigRed · Great piece, Angela. It brought me back to the spring and summer of 1973 when I wass a 20 year old college dropout, unemployed for much of the year, watching the big chestnut colt from Meadow Stable tear through his first races as a 3yo. Then the unthinkable: defeat at the Wood Memorial, to his stablemate AngleLight, and the SA derby champion, the great Sham. The rumors started swirling: what was wrong with Secretariat? Nothing, as it turned out. I think the Wood was to Big Red what the 1985 Bears' only loss in Miami was; a wakeup cal. The Bears ripped through the rest of the season, and so did Secretariat. Still one of the greatest years any athlete has ever had. And I was hooked on horse racing. · 4 days ago ·

One thing that is for sure, is that if I’ll Have Another does not get the respect he deserves going into the 2012 Belmont, should he win, taking the Triple Crown, he should go down as one of the most respected Triple Crown winners in the history of the series.Read More

  • lynn.nely · I have respect for all the horses in the world. Think they are the greatest animal on this earth. I respect I'll Have Another although my pick was Bode. I do hope that we have a triple crown winner and expect that we will. He has the speed and the stimula to do it. This has been in the making for a very long time and I am looking so forwarded in seeing history being made again. Good Luch I'll Have Another in you races and becoming the new Triple Crown Winner. · 7 days ago ·

  • shredder · Me personally am not a new fan to the horse, new to horse racing. Only started wagering & watching mid summer last year after watching the secretariat movie, I'm hooked. Even when i don't have $ to wager I like to watch. My wife had never been but said she had always wanterd to go to the kentucky derby. We were blessed to attend & plan to go again in 2013. In the mean time we'll be spending alot of time at hoosier park or hoosier downs. · 6 days ago ·

I’ll Have Another will try to become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978 when he runs in the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 9. • AnnaK · Would love a Triple Crown, mostly because it would pull people in to the races, (already started I like to think), plus IHA is such a strong red engine and Mario is excellent, that it just might be. Can't see Dullahan doing it, 27 in the last q good to know, that fancy inefficient leg work, so IHA and UR and anyone else can duke it out. · 7 days ago ·
