What the Horse Racing Nation is saying about Samraat...

The Belmont field is almost complete ... here's the early HRN morning line, and analysis for what many believe will result in the first Triple Crown champion since Affirmed in 1978.Read More
Solid and tough colt who always runs his heart out. I'm a fan of his ... I think he could do pretty well in the Jim Dandy / Haskell (whichever one, most likely the Jim Dandy).

  • rafirox · Liked him ever since the maiden race, Ex. He was green, came from far out of it (as I recall, he was last) and came 2nd. Showed a lot of promise. Had bucked shins I believe which caused him to miss some time. He was impressive in the Champagne, finishing behind two TOP juveniles in Honor Code and Havana. G1 placed in the Ark. Derby, Preakness. Ran really nice in the Derby (troubled trip), making up ground in stretch .... etc. Really nice colt who will kick ass this summer :D. · 17 days ago ·

  • cathi929 · I agree totaly with most of what is being said. In my opinion, WICKED STRONG/Rajiv Maragh is going to be working hard to hit that wire. Can he do it? Of course! Will California Chrome give it up to him NO WAY! Yes I am a BIG Believer in California Chrome. I really love not only this athletic abilities but his attitude is outstanding. Victor also is real and he knows anything can happen. · 34 days ago ·

  • travel_vic · The Texas sharpshooter fallacy is an informal fallacy which is committed when differences in data are ignored, but similarities are stressed. From this reasoning a false conclusion is inferred. This fallacy is the philosophical/rhetorical application of the multiple comparisons problem (in statistics) and apophenia (in cognitive psychology). It is related to the clustering illusion, which refers to the tendency in human cognition to interpret patterns where none actually exist. · 37 days ago ·

  • Bold Ruler · I think the horse to watch and that will like this distance is going to be Commisioner. His pedigree is suited for this distance. I think he will be sitting on a big race. I really like Chrome and would like to see a Triple Crow but winning 3 races in five weeks against tough fields and fresher horses and the fact that this is at a mile and a half is going to be tough. Plus, I don't know if this distance is going to be the best distance for Chrome. He is a exceptional horse and almost always comes to win but if he tries to sitt off the lead in this race and if we get some early pace from Social Inclusion and another horse or two he may not have the same burst when they tell him to go. I'm looking for Commissioner to be the one to win in at a big price. · 49 days ago ·
