love you boy!
Excellent!
Back on the track and jogging!
Via Honor Code's Facebook page (one of them, anyway): "Connections report that Honor Code is back and jogging at a training center and once he gets the go ahead in a couple weeks time, he will be heading back to the track. They have said that his health and happiness are their number one concern and that they will move along at a pace that best suits him."

  • Exterminator · I hope he comes back to be as good as he was at two. It'd be nice if he could make the JCGC this fall. Gulfstream obviously did him no good and much harm, a rematch with Social Inclusion (a.k.a the Gulfstream Wonder) is necessary. · 80 days ago
  • jockey2be · YAY!GO Honor Code-so happy to hear an update on him! · 80 days ago
Any news?
Is he going to the Preakness

  • tmallios · If they are smart they will write this year off and bring him back next year if healthy. Indy breds develop with age. The suspensory is only 1 of many problems that plagued this horse all year. Put him on the farm and let him become a race horse again. · 117 days ago
  • Sully · I wouldn't argue with that decision · 117 days ago
Just got back to reality after my honeymoon and derby fever set in once I realized what day it was and what's next weekend. Unfortunately about five seconds later my fever is gone as I remembered this one is hurt :(. Still so dissappointed that he won't get a shot at the triple crown. My hopes for a great one to come along get dimmer and dimmer after Barbaro, Union Rags and now Honor Code all got hurt. Really hope he can come back and regain his two year old form or become even better. Fingers crossed!
Any news on how Honor Code is doing???
With Honor's Code's topline breading with Seattle Slew and Secretariat involved, I wonder if he can show the others in the derby that he has the same will as they did.
  • goblin · Honor Code is not going to the Derby. He is out with a ligament injury. · 141 days ago
  • audy · But it is a shame. Though I don't understand racing, it looks as if he could have been winning with his running style. · 140 days ago
Ugh why must all my favorites get injured? The breed is so fragile these days it really is sad

  • zXSwordXz · Sullivan is right...that track seems to be compact like concrete with all those speed figures. · 153 days ago
  • Ruffianlover · I know Sullivan. I agree 100%. I just hope it was that and not a breeding issue · 153 days ago

There looks to be a lot of speed in this Derby. Hoping this one can get some points to make it in the starting gate and remain healthy because I really think his chances look better and better each week.

  • Ruffianlover · How much I love* him. 'Sigh' just hate that he has so much potential. Hate that he's injured and in pain. Hate that he tried to show them something was wrong in his last race. Hate that I now am not even excited for the Derby anymore. :( hope he makes it back to his old form one day · 158 days ago
  • tmallios1 · In recent memory i have never seen a year wheras so many top 3yos have gotten hurt with leg injuries. As someone that pays extreme attention to the track biases when i play. I can tell you that i have never seen so many hard eacing surfaces Nationwide. I have been complaining about it for the longest time. Seems the only time that horsemen and owners give a S__t is in the Breeders Cup. The way Biase said he abused them on the tape,is not the only way to do it. Unless something is done. The best horsse will not be running or winning the major Stakes. The luckiest will. · 158 days ago
Is officially OFF the Derby trail. Has a slight tear in right hind upper suspensory. Will be re evaluated in 60 days per Mike Welsch of DRF.
  • Ruffianlover · Hope they give him the time he needs. Ugh so frustrating why do all my favorites get injured- Barbaro union rags and now Code · 158 days ago
Now both of Shugs derby colts are injured... Interesting
  • tmallios1 · Hannah, unfortunately that is what happens when you run them over that cement strip. When will they learn!! · 158 days ago
Paulick reports that Honor Code breezed 4 furlongs at Gulfstream this morning (track fast) in :48.12, galloping out 5 furlongs in 1:01.60. The article didn't indicate how these times ranked on the day, however. On to Aqueuct!
Derby Dozen: Honor Code, California Chrome, Strong Mandate, Hoppertunity, Cairo Prince, Intense Holiday, Commissioner, Ride On Curlin, Tapiture, Ring Weekend, Tamarando, Bayern
already galloping, should work soon, pointed towards the wood. thank you shug for getting this horse away from the speedway.
Where will he go for some Derby points
This was not a bad comeback race. I don't think there is a three year old alive that would have beaten Social Inclusion yesterday. For all you frontrunners out there before you hop on the SI bandwagon while it's possible he could be the next Secretariat it's more likely he's the next Bellamy Road.
He just got spanked. Triple Crown NOPE. That was sad, tho the winner looked great

  • tmallios1 · You can't be serious Glory. This horse never picked up his feet. He would not of been competetive against higher claimers today. The track did not play to big speed all day. · 169 days ago
