Older Comments about Bodemeister...

Okay, so The Famous Jessie and I were at lunch and we saw that the Oaks' undercard was on at the bar, so we moved over there(no, not to drink). I noticed while watching the replay of the 2012 Derby that (imo) no way Bodemeister should have lost that race. Could have maybe slowed it down just a touch earlier. Trinni and Hansen were never going to win. Hadn't thought that about Bode before. P.S. She liked that filly sprint winner, Fiftyshades.

  • illhaveanothertriplecrown · Bode could've wired but I think I'll Have Another was the class of that crop. Almost the same thing happened in Pimlico to prove it was not a fluke. I 100% agree that if IHA ran the streak of the Triple Crown wouldve been broken. Oh well.... Also Vodkak that was an ignorant and moronic thing to say. · 88 days ago
1 1/8 who ya got, Bodemeister or Quality Road

  • Sullivan · Quality Road. No one could beat him at 9f, I still can't believe Blame got past him in the Whitney · 144 days ago
  • EP Taylor · You could have added Battle Plan to that question, as he was looking to be the Top handicap horse heading into the summer. To bad he broke down, and retired. · 144 days ago

  • rafirox · Decent butt. I have said many time before, he is a chpice (imo) for Zenyatta. He can get distance, no problem. If not for a monster named IHA, he would have won the first two jewels of the TC. · 540 days ago
  • Horsefan90 · I like his body, but I don't like his feet, he doesn't have a lot of heel it looks like. · 540 days ago
Someone actually asked to purchase a foal share on twitter... A.ZAYAT ‏@jazz3162 @ubracing2 @justinzayat .thAnks for asking but Bode book totaly sold out 168 mares booked 50 in waiting list. I am not seeking any shares.
  • northport · I personally think he is the most impressive of his crop standing in Kentucky this year, but I am surprised there is that much demand... 50 on a waiting list?! Although it is nice to see his book closed at 168 mares. We can expect to see Stay Thirsty and Hansen covering the standard 200 of a new ashford stallion. · 547 days ago

Of all the three year olds we lost this year, I was the most dissappointed in loosing this colt. Yes IHA proved to be the better horse for the 3 year old races .. But given more time to mature , a rider who could rate him better , and just all around better track tactics Bodemeister could have come back to be a monster 4 year old. . Sadly we will never know.
bodemeister is the best horse in the world. it stinks that hes retired :(

  • jay s. · I live in Arkansas. Bodemiester ran the second most impressive Arkansas Derby (behind Demons Begone) that I've witnessed. I was pulling so hard for him in the Derby and the Preakness. He's done things on the track that I would say only Secretariat may have been able to do. As much as I love him, 5 years from now he won't get much mention. Man O' War, Citation, Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Alysheba, Ferdinand, Swale, Sham, Cigar, etc. They will always be talked about. Sorry. · 701 days ago
Out of the three retired colts (IHA, UR and Bode) who would you send you mare to? I would send mine to IHA. Please write down and say who you would send your mare to.

  • Junebug719 · To me, the scary part is that all the unsound horses have been sent to stud.. what are we breeding? More unsoundness? · 707 days ago
  • UnionRagsRules · I agree and disagree with the atgument going on. I love Union Rags, and don't get me wrong, they were all champs in short times, but I don't care for IHA's Or Bode's pedigree. I do like Bode's sire, but as others have said, he is the regulars. Pedigree wise, I go with Union. Track abilty, IHA. I am ok with Bode's conformation, never really seen him standing, but Union Rags conformation doesn't impress me. If some one said I get to chose and I had a free breeding, then I would choose IHA. But, my choices are different than these freshman sires. and Hansen... I don't want aa stunning 2 yo that can't run distance. My mare would have to be able to handle 12f for me to come close to him as a choice. · 707 days ago
word has it from a groom at SA, talks around the track is bodemeister will be retired this month
I'll have another was retired I was so mad. But I knew that Bodemiester was still around. T the Belmont came and Union rags won so there was another horse to look forward to. Then Union Rags Retired. So then I could only look forward to Bodemeister. Now Bodemiester has Retired that makes me so mad. Now the Kentucky derby and Preakness winner has Retired and the Belmont winner has Retired and the ru

Was Bodemeister forgotten about it is all Panyter Bob should should run him Bob has not trained him good first he does not run him as a two year old and now he has not even ran since the Preakness. COME ON

  • icyhotboo · Bode and Paynter are just starting, they need time to learn and mature. Both really nice horses. He didn't get a breather in the derby, those fractions were insane. · 718 days ago
  • Dressage3295 · Bode's definitely got heart. It was a very valiant run. Both in the Derby and the Preakness · 718 days ago

If Paynter doesnt Go in the travers will Bobby B pull an audible and put Bode in?
when is colt going to race again the championship is still up for grabs with people more worried about punk rock hair on a horse than making a name and money in the process!!

  • timgsmith10 · I agree there is a chance but It is a very very narrow room for error.. considering there cant be any injuries and a horse has to run 3 more huge races Im sticking with my thought that there really is NO race for 3yo. · 721 days ago
