Glad to here that his first foal was born January 12th.

  • kay.robinett · shadowno, I personally will not consider a stallion a failure until he has at least a crop or two reach the age where he himself performed his best. Invasor was best as an older horse at longer distances. His eldest crop has only just turned four. I want to see a couple of his crops at age four until I will agree with you on his being a failure. Just as with those people who call Curlin a failure because he did not have two year old major stakes winners. He never even ran as a two year old - let's wait and see how his three year olds do on the track before we proclaim him a failure. · 462 days ago ·
  • shadowno · Stud fee down to 4K. Not a single GSW. This horse (Invasor) was successful at 3 thus the million plus that was paid to bring him from Uruguay. You can paint it any way you choose but in reality he is a flop. Breeders know it, Shadwell knows it. They should be giving away his seasons to attract mares at this point. · 462 days ago ·
Seems as though a lot of the "First Foals" this year are fillies... that's interesting.
Great horse, I think would have kept improving as he raced. I loved when the caller said his name :D
His trainer, william fires, is very nice. I met him and got my picture taken with him and a winning horse in the winner's circle at Hoosier Park
i miss so much archarcharch, he was great i hate how he got injured in kentucky derby
I miss him & he was the one I choose for the Kentucky Derby. I hated it that he had post position # 1 with that many horses running. Got crowded & pushed around @ start & was probably injured during that particular time but by gosh, that boy finished the race & he was ahead of horses that had not been injured!!
I miss this boy :/
so sad that he is retired:(

  • xMystix · I really liked this horse, too, my pick to win the Kentucky Derby. And I like his sire. I just wished he hadn't been injured :(. · 1044 days ago ·
I just wanted to say... this horse is BEAUTIUL!
Arkansas Derby winner Archarcharch, now recuperating from an injury he sustained during the Kentucky Derby, will enter stud in 2012 at B. Wayne Hughes’s Spendthrift Farm, the Lexington farm announced Thursday night.Spendthrift hasn’t yet set a stud fee for Archarcharch. Archarcharch underwent surger...Read More
It happens every single year, people see a hot new closer running on late to just barely miss, and then they go hog wild over him. For this year’s Derby, that horse’s name would be Nehro.Read More

  • ldeckergreenvalleytrainingcenter · Nehro did really well in the Kentucky Derby...so congrats to his connections! Looking forward to seeing him in The Belmont · 1070 days ago ·
  • blooy · psh nehor was a tough bastard, this was the extra room he needed, and the jockey really blew it, bad timing. you know he comes from out of the clouds not on turn, not sure what happend there. we saw it all the time down the strech near miss by nehro, then he makes the move on the turn, wait man, you fly on the strech. had they went on the strech, like animal kindom , could have been closer. but thats horse racing, guess a spoiler for the belmont? those closers all on timing, still congrats to him . · 1070 days ago ·
It appears that the ever classy jockey Johnny Velazquez is giving a portion of his Derby earnings to Robby Albarado. I write about Johnny a lot. I think he is not only a great jockey, but obviously a most incredible human being. I have been rooting for Johnny to win the Derby for quite some time; it...Read More

  • annmatt · Jockey changes are nothing new. And, it wasn't as if Albarado was AK's regular jockey. Had Robby ridden those two days instead of taking off, he would have been the rider on AK. AK's connections were right to wonder whether Albarado would be 100% when Albarado himself by taking himself off his mounts caused a question to arise! · 1074 days ago ·
  • BigAConfidential · Nice work, Angie. And I echo all of your above sentiments. Great to see a last-minute change benefit Johnny V, for once. And the Baze story, indeed, is very tragic. Keep the faith on Dialed In. I absolutely think he's a major player Saturday. · 1071 days ago ·
He may have been shut out of the Kentucky Derby, but that will not happen again to Sway Away in the Preakness ...Read More

  • blooy · oh yeah mmm is looking tough surged up for third a little late from traffic trouble. hes the one to look out for. but animal kingdom can adjust and not fly to far out from the clouds and can be tough here. looking at the card of lots of speed closer or stalkers race. · 1072 days ago ·
  • icyhotboo · give me 13-1 odds and I'll bet you he finishes dead last · 1072 days ago ·
Animal Kingdom burst from the pack to win the 137th running of the Kentucky Derby and he heads to Baltimore as the like choice to win the 2011 Preakness Stakes. I rode the synthetic train in past renewals of the Derby (Colonel John, Pioneerof The Nile) but I abandoned ship this year. Perfect timing ...Read More
COREY NAKATANI (Nehro, second) – “Overall the trip was pretty darn good. We were in a predicament where I didn't think the pace scenario was as fast as what I needed to be able to get him into a high cruising speed.I've got to thank (trainer) Steve (Asmussen) and (assistant) Scott Blasi. I thought we're supposed to be an old boys club that is tight lipped about everything? Perhaps it is just from some participants that this has reared its head. The synopsis of the post-Derby mahem was frank, honest and extremely detailed. Some thoughts: Archarcharch looks like he is going to be fine...Read More

  • Thoroughbred44 · It's a lateral condylar fracture in his right front. That's what I heard. · 1080 days ago ·
  • JamminPark · Yea, he should be ok but this may end his career, oh my favorite boy...This is horrible! D: · 1080 days ago ·
I just heard that the damage is to bad for him to go back to racing but by the tone of his owners post, he will go out to stud or become someone loving pet or both.
