  • Northport · Tapit can get you a g1 winner, and he can get you a g1 winner quickly. There are not many classic distance sires left, and people don't have the patience to wait for their horses to mature into a nice distance runner - it's all derby, all the time, and if you have a precoious young runner, you are going to get more hype than a slow maturing Awesome Again. I honestly rather people breed to Tapit (who at least is a proven nice stallion) than continue this ridiculous Bernardini craze. With the mares Bernardini has gotten since his freshman year, he has been an underwhelming sire. · 503 days ago
  • kaitlinefree1 · i'm not much for Bernardini either. i really like Medaglia d'Oro. · 503 days ago
where is Agave Kiss now?
Will she win today In a three horse field ?
i love the groom
Should win next one.
This horse couldn't handle all the hype, that's what you get for a NY bred!

  • travel_vic · wire to wire unchallenged winners are always susceptible when they are headed the first time. Many respond by digging in and many respond by simply spitting the bit · 753 days ago
  • Junebug719 · wow, what a disappointment. But kudos to those who bet on the long shot! · 753 days ago
Got killed! I knew this filly was a top of the class!
  • Mr. Thirsty · Was not a top of the class · 753 days ago
  • buckpasser · Any time Jerkens sends out a horse in a stakes race that is a long price, you take a long look at him. He isn't the giant killer for nothing · 753 days ago
One of the best sprinters to come around in a long long time..
  • Mr. Thirsty · I'd agree if she would step up in class and face tougher horse. If she would still walk away with the race then you could say that she is "one of the best sprinters to come around in a long time". · 769 days ago
this filly is overrated....she's undefeated but the only horse that she has beat thats good is millionreasonswhy
Question is will they stretch her out? If not, I'm fine with the American version of Black Caviar except on dirt.
Undefeated Agave Kiss, winner of the Grade 3 Cicada in her last trip to post, was listed as possible for the Comely on 4-7. “I’m going to check the horses who are going to enter the race,” said Rudy Rodriguez, who trains Agave Kiss for Flying Zee Racing Stables. “We really don’t know what we’re going to do yet. I’ll talk to the owners tomorrow and try to figure out a plan. This is a longer race, and it looks like she got a little tired last time.” Agave Kiss breezed five furlongs in 1:01.11 on Friday at Aqueduct in what was her first workout since her victory in the Cicada on March 10. “She breezed very, very nice,” said Rodriguez. “I was very, very pleased with how she did it. She did everything we asked.”
I'm eager to see this horse against some class. Last two have been really eye catching.
