  • Northport · Tapit can get you a g1 winner, and he can get you a g1 winner quickly. There are not many classic distance sires left, and people don't have the patience to wait for their horses to mature into a nice distance runner - it's all derby, all the time, and if you have a precoious young runner, you are going to get more hype than a slow maturing Awesome Again. I honestly rather people breed to Tapit (who at least is a proven nice stallion) than continue this ridiculous Bernardini craze. With the mares Bernardini has gotten since his freshman year, he has been an underwhelming sire. · 66 days ago ·
