What the Nation is saying about Zensational...

He has a winner already!
  • rafirox · Yes. The winner, Sensational Nikki, came from a very nice broodmare. Wasn't a surprise since Peter Miller is a good trainer with speed and Edwin can bring those home.. She was logical, but I'm not betting a horse at 6-5 2yr old. · 17 days ago ·

Should character and rules violations come into play when votes are cast for honors such as horse racing’s Eclipse Awards or Hall of Fame? My belief is that they should. That question came to mind yesterday when Daily Racing Form first reported on the lawsuit filed by a bank ...Read More

Could this be the one for Todd? Champion trainer Todd Pletcher has yet to win a Kentucky Derby in his illustrious career, but Super Saver looks capable of ending that drought after his impressive victory at Churchill Downs on Saturday.Read More
Though not nearly as contentious or as fascinating as the battle for Horse of the Year, the race for the sprint title is another that has voters divided and which features a leading contender who emerged thanks to some late-season heroics. It's a shame this classy sprinter is retiring so soon. He was tons the best over the California sprinters, but couldn't handle a full field of top class sprinters on BC day. It's hard to say how good he really was. Plus, what does he stand for as a stud in this downturn economy?
Retired. Amazing.
ZENYATTA (Street Cry [Ire]) climaxed one of the most brilliant careers in racing history with a thrilling victory in Saturday's Breeders' Cup Classic (G1), becoming the first female to win the coveted race and extending her unbeaten streak to 14. The effort to overcome her m...Read More
  • Rossington · John Shirreffs must really be on cloud nine after the weekend he just had in the Breeders Cup. Zenyatta's run really needs no explanation, it speak's for itself. Life is Sweet, however, ran like a filly with a world of talent and look's like a filly that may even have better races ahead of her should she decide to stay in training for next year. Garrett Gomez really rode a masterful race on Life is Sweet. I kind of felt going into the Ladies Classic when she was sent off with morning line odds of 8-1 that she may be the one in the race that was being overlooked. Much like I felt Gio Ponti was in the Classic. Great job by Shirreffs and congrats to the connection's of Life is Sweet and Zenyatta. Great performances from both fillies. · 1318 days ago ·

Ken Kinakin said he's not a risk taker by nature. It's an assessment he might want to reconsider after putting up a $180,000 supplemental fee just to get his Dancing in Silks into the $2 million Breeders' Cup Sprint. That investment turned into a $1,080,000 payday on Saturday at Santa Anita when the...Read More

  • Medlocke · Great analogy, but that's why they run the race. Zentational will no doubt be tested harder than he has been in his last four win's, but he's a quality horse that know's how to win. That's why he has four straight win's. They'll all come at him hard, but Zensational will win the B.C. Sprint. · 1326 days ago ·

  • mshutty · A bad start, rail draw and pressured pace did Zensational in. Fatal Bullet was just playing too much catch up and didn't have the conditioning. Fleeting Spirit ran a dud. Dancing In Silks ran the race of his life. Hats off to Carla Gaines for a well planned campaign, a new top in the prior prep race and taking advantage of the home court. · 1319 days ago ·
