  • mrsmaryzinke · Please stop this girls. I explained about horse relationships and how half-siblings are from the same dam but different sires. Secretariat was not Ruffian's uncle. Please read horses and horse racing 101 by dubby. And, again, please stop. I can hear your high-pitched giggling. · 1027 days ago ·

  • mrsmaryzinke · Okay, RuffianQueenOfRacing, I read most of your long profile. Since you are a kid, I will explain that horses are not considered to be related in the same way that humans are. IIf horses only share the same sire and not the same dam, they are NOT half-siblings. How Evan can come up with Zardana and Secretariat having that relationship, I don't know. · 1026 days ago ·

With a sixteenth of a mile to go, it appeared the mighty Zenyatta’s winning streak was in serious danger. Mike Smith was getting in to her like I had not seen since 2009, and yet the other filly was somehow holding her at bay. The race was Last year’s Vanity Handicap and the other mare was St Trinia...Read More

  • Ann Maree · We need to remember that Zenyatta was giving the field from 10-15 pounds! She still got the job done, but that was the onlly reason, I think, that St. Trinians got that close to her! I'm hoping that Zardana, St. Trinians, and Vision all wind up in the Santa Margarita, along with Blind Luck, Harmonious and Princess to challenge Switch! The winner of that race will likely be crowned the reigning new Older Female to fill the spot vacated by Zenyatta! I would love it if either Harnomious or Zardana were to win that spot, as Zenyatta's former stable mates! · 1160 days ago ·

  • cugel the clever · humpy - I realize that you have a short attention span and a reading impedement - Alzheimers will do that to people - so I will be patient with you. I posted here twice after the BC Classic and I admitted that I was wrong about Z. She is the greatest horse of this century in my opinion, and one of the best of all time. Her race, losing in this year's BC, was a far better effort than 90% of her past races and convinced me of her greatness. Once again, for the third time, I admit I was wrong. · 1236 days ago ·

She's not good enough to run in the Apple Blossom, but she is good enough to run in the Vanity? Oh please. Rabbit time .Which is fine, rabbits are legal... something is up with the big "Z" mare...

  • Bigshot · This is a spurious allegation. Zenyatta's connections have never employed rabbits. Zardana is not a 'need to lead' type that jumps to the front and sets brisk fractions. Zardana's owner, Arnold Zetcher, has always been very ambitious and have raced her against the best (including Rachel Alexandra). If the intention was to use Zardana as a rabbit, they would have ran her to the front. Zenyatta's connections wouldn't have needed a rabbit as there were already a couple of one-dimensional front runners scheduled to run in the Vanity. It's preposterous to think Zardana was being entered as a rabbit for Zenyatta's benefit. If they wanted to use a rabbit they would have picked a horse that fits that description. · 1268 days ago ·

  • davidcrone · It's pretty simple...the filly wants her head and wants to go 46 and change or 47 flat. The 48 and 4 stuff allows other horses to be close who finish stronger than she does. She doesn't have an explosive turn of foot. You have to realize, when she goes 46 and 3 a horse has to go 48 and change just to be within ten lengths. They need to stop trying to make her rate and stop taking away her greatest weapon. · 1445 days ago ·
