So I see the connections of Willy Beamin are at it again. Congrats to Politicallycorrect! What a race!!!! As part owner of Suns Out Guns Out, we were thrilled with this awesome effort of 4th after only breaking his Maiden at Saratoga in August :) Congrats everyone - Hopefully all of them come out of the race healthy!
Valiant second place performance by this monster. Hopefully he'll rebound when he goes back to NY.
The opportunities for top 3-year-olds to remain with their age group are dwindling, making the $400,000 Oklahoma Derby at Remington Park Sept. 30 a prime target. At entry time, a field of 10 was unveiled for the 1 1/8-mile event, led by shippers Willy Beamin, Prospective, and Daddy Nose Best. Read More
Willy Beamin, who has won his last six starts including the Grade 1 King’s Bishop at Saratoga, was one of four horses who flew into Oklahoma City just after noon Monday to be part of the field for the $400,000 Oklahoma Derby. The 1 1/8-mile race will be run Sunday at Remington Park.Read More
Willy should be racing this weekend at Parx or next weekend at Belmont. He won me lots of money at Saratoga. Great race!
What will Willy Beamin do for an encore after his fantastic four days at Saratoga? It seems the Oklahoma Derby is under strong consideration ... I hope Babe realizes that it's not held at the Saratoga training track.

  • Mary Z. · I was going to say it's the dehydration from the Salix, but they're mostly all on that, so maybe it is the "babying" as some have put it, because claiming horses do run back quicker than stakes horses. The QEII turf filly winner Together comes to mind. She won at Keeneland last October 15th off of a stakes win one week prior, but the QEII was her last race. Not sure why. Was she injured? · 264 days ago ·
